I’m currently a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor with Healthy Partnerships Inc. in Fairfield, CA. I graduated from InterCoast Colleges in October of 2015 with a diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs. I am currently enrolled with the University of Phoenix pursuing my Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Services. I have worked in the SUD field for almost eleven months leading group discussions and individual counseling sessions.
I first decided to enter into the SUD field with the hopes of working with Veterans who have a SUD. My background involves several family members who are in recovery or have an active addiction disorder. I will further state that my passion is to make a difference in others lives and assist them in living an addiction free lifestyle. I am in a position where I can not only assist clients with their addiction, but I am also open to learning from clients.
My future plans to further my passion for helping those with a SUD is to go back to school for my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. My goal is to combine all of my learning experiences to eventually help families reunite after a life of addiction. My ultimate goal is to work with Veterans and their families.
